E. Providence Blended Fast Track
E. Providence EMT Fast Track
Our E. Providence EMT Fast Track Program will prepare students to provide emergency medical care to victims of accidents and sudden illness. Students will develop skills in symptom recognition, emergency care procedures and techniques considered to be within the responsibilities of an EMT. Emergency Medical Technicians provide routine and emergency medical care with an ambulance service, as well as in hospitals and clinics. Becoming an EMT is the first step towards becoming a Paramedic. The EMT is considered the entry level provider to work on an ambulance or rescue. At National EMS Institute, the EMT candidate will receive training in the required curriculum for the course, but will also receive; certification in emergency vehicle operations for ambulances, Supra-glottic airway management, continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), advanced pharmacology and Rhode Island Pre-hospital Care Protocols.
The E. Providence EMT Fast Track course is a 9 week course, designed for students who are looking to get their certification in a shorter time than the traditional 3 month program offered by other EMT schools, but cannot attend our 18 day program.
The smaller class size allows you maximum practice time with our experienced instructors. Our program consists of classroom and skill training and the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational opportunities. This program exceeds the US DOT/DPH/OEMS guidelines. The instructional staff consists of experienced EMT’s with years of experience as EMS educators.
