Paramedic is the highest ALS Prehospital level provider. Candidates in this course undergo over 9 months of classroom training in advanced anatomy & physiology, pharmacology, neurology, endocrinology, electrophysiology and many more subject matters related to advanced patient care. The Paramedic candidate must also do an in hospital internship with Physicians and Nurses to hone their assessment, critical reasoning and treatment skills. They also must operate in the field under a Paramedic preceptor to ensure that the student has mastered their trade. Candidates must understand that in order to complete their training they will need to spend from 18 months to 2 years to complete their training and also take their national computer exams and practical skills exams. Additional certifications that the candidate will receive during this class are Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS).
Our smaller class size allows you maximum practice time with our experienced instructors. Our program allows students the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational opportunities. This program exceeds the US DOT/DPH/OEMS guidelines. The instructional staff consists of experienced Paramedics with years of experience as EMS educators.

Class meets Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6pm-10pm and every Saturday from 8:30am-4:30pm. All students must be in attendance on the first night of class to continue on with this program. 100% attendance is required in all National EMS Institute’s courses.
