CPR is required and included in National EMS Institute's Boot Camp and Fast Track courses. Hybrid students will need a BLS CPR certification from the American Heart Association before beginning their course.

In order to be eligible to be certified as an EMT-Basic, a person must:
1. Be at least 18 years of age.
2. Abstain from the abuse of drugs which impairs professional judgment and/or practice.
3. Be free of any physical or mental impairment or disease which could reasonably be expected to impair the ability to be an EMT, or which could reasonably be expected to jeopardize the health and safety of the patient.
4. Meet the training requirements applicable to the level of certification.
5. Obtain National Registry of EMTs (NREMT) certification by successfully completing a Massachusetts psychomotor (practical) examination and NREMT cognitive (computer-based) examination.

Program Fee
The total fee is due in full the Thursday before the class begins. The initial deposit is non refundable and must accompany the application when applying for a seat in our program. Deposits must be made in the form of a credit card, cash, or money order. Personal checks are not accepted, no exceptions. A total of $250.00 is required to hold your seat. Seats are filled in the order that deposits are received. Your Healthcare CPR fee is included in the Boot Camp and Fast Track courses. Hybrid students must hand in a copy of their Healthcare CPR certification before beginning the course. State and National certification fees are not included in the total fee and are the responsibility of the student.

Refund Policy
Payments for Continuing Education and CPR courses are non-refundable. EMT, AEMT/Cardiac, and Paramedic course deposits are non refundable. Withdrawals form the program prior to the course start date must be made in writing and sent by certified mail. Please click here to review our policies on Refunds & Transfers.

Attendance Policy
Students are required to have 100% attendance during all of National EMS Institute's courses. Any student that misses time will be required to make up those hours (up to 12 hours). Students are mandated to be in class for the first day of the program, missing the first day, may result in denied access to the program.

Financial Agreement

I understand and agree that I am entering an EMT training program sponsored by National EMS Institute, Inc. I agree to pay the tuition for the scheduled course and realize that the submission of this application and non refundable fees commits me financially to a position in this program. I understand that the card on file will be charged without notice. This is evidence by my signature on this date and I accept total full responsibility of payment of the program regardless of my status in the program.
