Rhode Island Cardiac: RIC (Pre-requisite: AEMT)
This is the entry level Advanced Life Support (ALS) course that is unique to the state of Rhode Island. It incorporates additional training in emergency cardiac pharmacology, electrophysiology and trauma management. The curriculum, although based on the national AEMT model, is uniquely incorporated by the State of Rhode Island. The candidate will have to master ECG monitoring and treatment, patient assessment advanced skills and many other areas of study. National EMS Institute delivers the Rhode Island Cardiac course as a stand-alone course for those seeking licensure in Rhode Island and as a combination of AEMT/Cardiac.
Our smaller class size allows you maximum practice time with our experienced instructors. Our program allows students the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational opportunities. This program exceeds the US DOT/DPH/OEMS guidelines. The instructional staff consists of experienced Paramedics and EMT-C’s with years of experience as EMS educators.

EMT-C:
Class meets Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm-10pm. All students must be in attendance on the first night of class to continue on with this program. 100% attendance is required in all National EMS Institute’s courses.
